In this article you will learn how to create and use Zone Based Pricing (ZBP) for your courier organization. Set rates based on the pickup and drop-off zones defined in a selected Service Area. This method allows you to create custom pricing for each possible zone-to-zone scenario.
Note: To set up Zone Based Pricing, you will first need to set up a Service Area by following this guide.
Once you have set up your service area, you can go to the "Rate Tables" option and select "+ Create Rate Table"; alternatively, you can edit an existing rate table to apply to Zone Based Pricing.
To set Zone-Based pricing, fill out the "General" and "Rating Methods" sections of the Rate Table, and then under "Rating Methods" select "Zone Based" in the drop-down menu for "Type" and then select the Service Area you would like this pricing to apply to.
Once a Service Area is selected, a pricing matrix is generated using the zones defined in that area. The matrix has:
- Rows (Y-axis): Pickup zones
- Columns (X-axis): Drop-off zones
For each pickup-to-dropoff zone pair, enter a flat delivery price. The price applies to any delivery between the two specified zones. If a cell is left blank, that zone combination will not be eligible for delivery.
You can then enter any additional information such as "Additional Modifiers" and "Optional Settings", and select "Save"
Once you have selected "Save" your Zone Based Pricing will apply to the service area you have selected.
